Abstract:

The article reveals the reasons of numerous mistakes in the lists of mass graves and the importance of examining the documents and archives indirectly connected with the period of the Great Patriotic War. The author also analyzes the work of searching the relatives of the soldiers missing in action during the the Great Patriotic War and the results of this work.

Abstract:
It is the first publication of combat characteristics of the Coastal Army that defended Sevastopol in 1941–1942. The document describes Army units and formations, their actions in defense of the city from the German-Romanian troops. Also commanders of the Coastal Army are evaluated and the preliminary results of the Sevastopol defense are summed up.

Abstract:
This is a special compilation and publication of documents of strategic planning and management of defense on the lower Don in July 1942 by the Supreme Command, the military command of the North Caucasus and southern fronts. The documents describe plans and operational direction of the High Command of the Red Army (General Headquarters, the Military Councils of the North Caucasus and Southern Fronts) for the defense of the Soviet troops on the ground in the summer of Don's forty-second year, during the German offensive in the big bend of the Don and breakthrough to the Caucasus.
